Set in the small railroad town of Star Crossing, The Hat Can Stay begins when a young man preparing to leave home steps into a photographer’s studio for a portrait to leave behind for his mother. What seems like a simple photograph slowly opens the door to a story of love, loss, and the things we carry with us long after others have forgotten.Presented as an original live radio drama, The Hat Can Stay blends storytelling, actors, theatrical movement, sound effects and music to bring Star Crossing and its people to life. At its heart, it is a story about family, grace, belonging—and how sometimes an ordinary object can hold an extraordinary story.
